4 Keys to Building a Relationship with Jesus

Bible Study

The Bible contains God’s Word, and is very important when living the Christian life. Understanding God’s Word will help you overcome temptation, and knowing God’s Word can help you prepare for and through tough times in your life.

There are many ways to read the Bible. You can start from the beginning. You can start with the beginning of the New Testament. You can start at the end, or anywhere in between.

We recommend new believers start with the Book of John.

Prayer is talking to God. Prayers can be general or specific, and could be asking God for forgiveness through repentance, asking for help and advice, or even thanking Him for everything He has done for you.

Some people have a hard time trying to think of what to say, and might not pray because of this. If this ever happens to you remember, Jesus told us how to pray:

Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
As we forgive our debtors.
And do not lead us into temptation,
But deliver us from the evil one.
For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
Matthew 6:9-13 (NKJV)

While you can talk to God through prayer throughout the day while going about your daily business, we do recommended to set aside quiet time to talk to God through prayer. This allows you to stop and listen for His response.

Christians cannot stand alone, are called to minister to one another, and to a lost world.
